Delighted to been involved as co-editor of the Georgian Group’s 80th anniversary exhibition entitled Splendour! Art in Living Craftsmanship.
Splendour! is an exhibition which celebrates living artists, craftsmen and architects who follow the classical tradition. Works include examples of pietra dure, scagliola, stone sculpture, shell work, stucco work, plaster casts, wood carving leadwork, measured drawings, and a multitude of different Georgian crafts and skills.
Catalogue Editors are John Martin Robinson, Adam Busiakiewicz with assistance from David McKinstry.
The catalogue contains a foreword by HRH The Prince of Wales, followed by essays by Christopher Boyle QC (Chairman), David McKinstry (Secretary), Hugh Petter (ADAM Architecture), Tim Crawley (City & Guilds), Alexander ‘Sandy’ Stoddart (Sculptor in Ordinary to the Queen in Scotland), James Mulraine (Art Historian) and myself, finishing off with illustrations of the exhibition in situ (by Justin Paget) and catalogue notes on each artist and craftsmen on display.
The exhibition runs till the 25th February 2015.
